This summer has not been standard for our family by any means, and a lot of things have veered way off track. It’s forced me to adjust my schedule for the next few months and as a result I’ve made the decision to delay The No Rules Roommate until Spring 2025.
The book is so closed to finished, but I didn’t want to rush the release in September then immediately switch to Christmas promo. TNRR is Megan’s story, and the final in the Sunshine Book Club series, and I want it to end on the sweetest high. As soon as I made the decision it was a huge weight off my shoulders, so clearly the right one!
That means I can reveal that my next release is… See You Next Winter, the follow up to last year’s Can I Tell You Something? So many of you loved the seeds I’d sown for Hannah’s brother and his holiday hookup, and writing their love story has been a dream so far.
Here’s a little of what I can tell you…
Ryan and Kayla have spent every Christmas since they were kids in the snowy Alpine village where their families own properties. As they've grown up, so has their chemistry. They've made the most of their limited time together but go back to being just friends when the festivities are over.
Now, Kayla is living full time in the mountains, running a ski touring company. Across the globe, Ryan is working as a sound technician in Hollywood and has stopped coming home for Christmas.
When he surprises his family, and Kayla, they fall back into old habits, but this time saying goodbye feels harder than ever. Can they keep a relationship alive while thousands of miles apart? They've always agreed it was impossible, but maybe this is the year they finally give it a try.
Final cover, blurb, tropes, release date and ARC details coming soon!
In the meantime… if you need a romance fix and haven’t delved into my books yet, The Best Book Boyfriend is 99p from now until Monday.
Who needs real-life love when you have a shelf of perfect Book Boyfriends?
Kara has sworn off men ever since The One dumped her without warning. Instead she spends her evenings reading books with guaranteed happy endings, crushing on fictional heroes who’ll never let her down.
Luke is piecing his life back together after the death of his wife. Opening Sunshine Coffee was the first step, but he has no idea where to go from here.
When Kara stops by her new local coffee shop, Luke's clueless comments about the romance novel she's reading are the opposite of a Meet Cute. Determined to make a better impression, he asks for a recommendation to change his mind.
Three books later, he can see the appeal. Who knew reading about fictional people getting laid could teach you so much?
As their friendship blossoms into something more, their painful pasts threaten to keep them apart. But if romance stories have taught them anything, it’s that there are many routes to love.
One road trip, a fake date, and a spicy readathon later, can Kara and Luke separate fact from fiction and find their very own Happy Ever After?
MORE BOOKS for Back To School season
My dear friend Allie Samberts also has a great sale on her books this weekend only. The Write Place (Daniel & Mac) and The Write Time (Jenny & Ben) are for you if you like workplace romances with teacher characters and all the cosy spicy vibes. The Write Choice (Katie & Brandon) is a marriage in crisis romcom, which is honestly one of the most tender books I’ve ever read about two people giving their relationship a second chance.
Allie’s books mean so much to me because they all feature characters in their thirties going through the most real and relatable issues. You feel like you want all of her characters as your real life buddies.
If you’re craving autumnal vibes then you’ll also love her book Common Grounds, about a coffee shop owner and a lifestyle reporter who writes an article to save his business… and her career.
